Installation
1. Unzip contents of JRNViewVB6.ZIP to the \Windows\System directory.
2. Place JournalViewer.exe and CONFIG.CFG file (if one exists) to the C:\JRNVIEW directory.
3. If CONFIG.CFG has not been pre-made, then run the config utility in the JournalViewer application. See CONFIGURATION below.

Using JournalViewer
1. Simply pick the Month, year and then the day from the calendar control. The journal's filename
shows up in the bottom window.
2. Pick the lane you wish to view the journal for.
3. Click the Process Journal For Selected Lane button. If you get a "File does not exist" error
from Wordpad, this means that there were no sales for that day. (or, the program has been configured incorrectly, see step 3 in Installation.)
4. Since the program calls Windows Wordpad, the standard wordpad commands work properly. (Mainly
Edit -> Search).

Configuration
1. Click File -> Configure. Click OK on the warning screen which comes up.
2. You have 8 lanes in the listing. Clicking on "Lane X" where X = the lane number applies the path and directory listed on the far right, to the lane's setting. For example, if the far right choice is F: on the top, and the path below is F:\BP101 then clicking on LANE 1 adds F:\BP101\ to the setting for LANE 1. Clicking ADD makes this change permanent.
3. You can also manually type in the path for the lane. Make sure you follow it with a \ .
4. To clear a Lane's setting out of the config file, click the X next to that lane. To clear ALL lanes, click Clear at the bottom. Clicking Show Lanes shows you the current settings.

Notes and Known Issues
1. If you are intending to view the journal for the current date, if you just click Process then the program has an error. Click the date on the calendar before processing. This will be addressed in a future release. 2. Even if you only have 3 lanes, all 8 are lit up all the time. Will be addressed in a future release
